I really liked the game even though it was very short. One think I can suggest is after you have completed the quest the exclamation mark should disappear.

Got it thanks

Overall Impressions:

This RPG has a long way to go before it can be considered a polished game. By addressing obvious issues and focusing on creating a more engaging and immersive experience, I'm sure the developers can turn this rough demo into a game worth playing.

Graphics and Art Style:

The pixel art was simplistic, which isn't inherently bad, but it lacked detail and polish. On the other hand sprites don't seem repetitive, and the environments were not bland and unvaried.

Improvement Suggestions:

  • Enhanced Detail: Add more details to character sprites and environments to make them more visually appealing.
  • Variety in Assets: Introduce a wider variety of sprites and environmental elements to avoid repetition.

Gameplay Mechanics:

Combat was extremely basic while managing to not become too repetitive too quickly.

Improvement Suggestions:

  • Combat Depth: Introduce more complex combat mechanics, such as abilities and status effects.
  • Enemy Variety: Design a range of enemies with unique behaviors and weaknesses to keep combat interesting.

User Interface:

The user interface was clunky but intuitive.

Improvement Suggestions:

  • Clear Indicators: Ensure important information (health, inventory, objectives) is easily accessible and clearly displayed.

Quests and Objectives:

I hope in the full game quests don't turn out to be uninspired and mainly consisted of fetch tasks and basic combat encounters. Players want an incentive to explore and engage with the game world.

Improvement Suggestions:

  • Quest Variety: Design a range of quest types, including puzzles, exploration, and narrative-driven missions.
  • Meaningful Rewards: Provide significant rewards for completing quests to motivate players.

Sound and Music:

Improvement Suggestions:

  • Original Soundtrack: Create a  fitting soundtrack to enhance the game's atmosphere.
  • Quality Sound Effects: Ensure sound effects are appropriate and contribute to the overall immersion.

Wow thanks for the feedback

I suggest adding a minimap because it will make it easier to navigate through the game and locate quests. Also, the game just feels like it has to have a minimap.

Thanks for the suggestion

Will add it as soon as possible :D
